Lovely chocolaty sesame seed milk ...
Lately, I've been trying to create calcium rich recipes for my family to boost our calcium intake and to ensure overall health and vitality. Vitamins are easier to get on a raw vegan and vegan diet, but getting the proper amounts of minerals and trace minerals can be difficult if one doesn't do a little research and take the time to plan meals.
This recipe is a calcium and iron rich recipe that you and your family will love ... I'm sure of it! Get it here ...
(Makes 5 servings)
1 cup raw white sesame seeds
5 cups spring/filtered water
5 large Medjool dates, pitted
pinch Celtic sea salt
dash raw vanilla (optional)
3 heaping Tbsp raw wild-crafted carob powder
1. Place the sesame seeds and water in your high-powered blender and start blending. Blend on high for a minute or two, until everything is well combined and the seeds are pulverized.
2. Pour the milk through a nut milk bag into a large bowl and separate the pulp from the milk.
3. Pour the milk back into your blender, add the remaining ingredients and blend for 30 sections.
Done. Enjoy immediately or cold out of the fridge. Yum!
