I am not a big fan of chocolate. Cacao just doesn't agree with me and tends to give me the jitters - I guess it's all the caffeine. But, I still love the flavour of chocolate. So, I rely on raw wild-crafted carob powder to get my 'chocolate' fix ... and it really works! Caffeine free and high in calcium, carob has a lot to offer. Try my version of a brownie recipe ... you won't be disappointed.
This nut-free energy bar is a great lunch packer or post-workout recovery snack ... you won't want to miss!
I have struggled over the years trying to conjure up the best school snacks for my kids, with very little success. Given that nuts are not permitted on school grounds and my kids do not like to snack on seeds, I'm pretty much left with packing countless containers of fresh organic fruit and veggies (which is not a bad thing, but can get boring at times).
Today, I created a lovely raw vegan NUT-FREE energy bar that is truly delicious! My kids can't get enough of these lil' gems and neither can I (I use them for post-workout recovery ...).
Here's my recipe ...
Last year I adorned our Thanksgiving table with my Raw Vegan Pecan Pie ... this year I opted for pears and coconut in this lovely Pear Coconut Fall Harvest Crumble ...
This Thanksgiving I decided to conjure up another lovely Autumn inspired, seasonal dessert. I had some very ripe Bartlet pears on hand and raw, shredded coconut. I threw it together with some dates and a lot of cinnamon to form a lovely seasonal dessert.
This dessert only takes minutes and tastes soooo heavenly ...
