Apart from the great taste and texture of this salad dressing, making your own means no "freaky" ingredients that are typically found in your packaged salad dressing (i.e.: corn syrup, sugar, Xanthan Gum, Phosphoric Acid, Postassium Sorbate, Calcium Disodium EDTA, etc.).
You won't believe how easy it is to make this dressing and how versatile such a humble recipe can be in your raw vegan kitchen.
Check out this recipe and the many ways you can use it ...
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
the juice of 1 orange
1 tsp honey, RAW
dash garlic powder
1 tsp Celtic sea salt
Place all of the above ingredients in a small blender (or hand-held blender) and blend on high until well emulsified. As is, this dressing can be used over your favourite salad greens or any salad really (as shown above in the various salads used).
Alternatively, use only 1/2 the orange juice and the end result is a thicker sauce more akin to a dip. This can be used as a dipping sauce for numerous raw vegan recipes (i.e.: as shown above with the variations on a 'wrap' and 'taco').
Don't feel stressed out about salad dressing. Once you venture out and make your own, you'll never buy the store varieties again!
