Make green juice your first step towards healing yourself ...

Today is my second day on this green juice kick! I'm so excited by this whole thing, that I'm thinking about it all day. I stored some leftovers from some vegetables I used in last night's supper, especially to use in today's juice.
Using my Breville juicer, I juiced parsley, celery, green apples, broccoli spears and fennel tops. Wow! It was sooooo yummy that my kids were fighting over it (check out the video above and you'll see them literally fighting over this lovely green drink).
In my last post I blogged about some of the benefits of juicing. One thing I did not touch upon was the healing benefits of this liquid gold.
Incorporating green juice into one's diet can be an essential precursor to beginning renewed living. In fact, green juicing has been shown to detoxify the body by: removing toxins from the intestines by softening built-up debris; increasing the production of liver enzymes; and reducing acidity and restoring alkalinity.
Dr. Otto Warburg, author of The Cause and Prevention of Cancer, concluded in his book that inadequate oxygen in the body is a major factor in the development of cancer. He further concluded that with a consistent source of oxygenation to every cell, cancer can be prevented. Green juices play a large role in this as they carry oxygen throughout the body, oxygenating every cell and tissue, facilitating an oxygen-rich environment, and providing the playground for healing and health.
Dr. Ann Wigmore, a long-time advocate of a healing diet and a follower of Dr. Warburg, advocated green juice and wheatgrass in particular, for many kinds of healing due to its’ nutritional make-up consisting of:
Amino acids
Nutrients
Chlorophyll
Enzymes
Chlorophyll and enzymes are huge factors in the healing process and are a large component of green juices.
Now, I didn't mean to get so scientific with you, but, I have always found that when people are educated about why they are doing something, they are more likely to stick with it.
So, what does all this mean? ... venture out and make some green juice for yourself and your loved ones today. ... it truly does a body good!
